201 stainless steel spring wire
201 stainless steel spring wire
Contact form
This austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel spring wire, known as 201 alloy, was initially developed to conserve nickel. It offers an alternative to alloy 301 in certain tempered applications, with excellent durability and strength for various uses. Due to its relatively high yield strength in the annealed condition, its use in this form is somewhat limited. However, 201 stainless steel spring wire performs exceptionally well in tempered conditions, particularly for applications like springs and fasteners.
Applications
201 stainless steel spring wire is versatile and used across multiple industries. It is ideal for applications such as:
- Various screening and filtration systems
- Clamps
- Springs
- Display racks and food service equipment
